SISEARCHOPTIMIZATION

ENTITY & EVIDENCE

Credibility has
a structure.

Connect who you are, what you do, and the evidence that supports it.

01 / COMPANY IDENTITY

Make the basic facts
unambiguous.

Different spellings, outdated locations, and unclear relationships between brands can make a business difficult to identify. Start with the facts that should be consistent: company name, relevant brand names, website, contact routes, and verified locations.

Publish organizational information that helps buyers understand the business. Use actual people, qualifications, and roles where permission and documentation are available. Do not invent biographies or credentials to fill a page.

A company may operate multiple brands, facilities, or product ranges. Explain those relationships only where they are real and relevant. Keep the distinction between a legal entity, a trading name, and a product name clear.

The purpose is accurate identification. A machine-readable description can support it, but it cannot repair contradictory statements elsewhere on the website.

02 / THE EVIDENCE MAP

A claim is stronger
with a source.

COMPANYWho provides it?
CAPABILITYWhat can they do?
APPLICATIONWhere does it fit?
EVIDENCEWhat supports it?

A capability can be connected to an application example and its supporting documentation. A certification should identify its applicable scope and current status. A technical article should make the author’s relevant contribution and source basis clear.

These connections help a buyer investigate a claim. They are not an “authority score,” and we do not present the map as a hidden ranking formula.

03 / PRACTICAL MAINTENANCE

Keep the evidence
worth relying on.

01

Check the claim

Identify the exact assertion a page makes. Distinguish a documented fact from an ambition, opinion, or generalized marketing statement.

02

Find the source

Connect the assertion to a relevant document or accountable owner. Check whether the source actually supports the scope of the claim.

03

Review the context

Look for missing dates, limitations, affected products, or location-specific differences. Avoid making a narrow proof look universal.

04

Assign maintenance

Agree who reviews the information when the product, process, certification, or organization changes. Retire evidence that is no longer valid.

04 / OUTSIDE YOUR WEBSITE

Real recognition.
Accurate references.

Relevant industry publications, genuine partner references, and verified directory entries can provide additional context. Participation should have a real purpose for the audience. Purchased praise, fabricated reviews, and manufactured mentions are not a substitute for expertise.

Where you control an external profile, correct basic information. Where you do not, document significant inconsistencies and use the publisher’s normal correction process. Do not imply control over independent coverage.
